Real Name: Carter Welling
Subject, after being recruited by Dr. Ellison and General Bennett, joined the CROSS & SWORD as a member of the Angel Squad. He accidentally-on-purpose opened a cannister of Shæluthrös (The Mist), which expanded his stomach, allowed him to eat more, convert the food into excess metabolism, which granted him superhuman strength, stamina, and related abilities. He is the most recent Augmented, and the third Augmented in the Angel Squad.
Weakness(es):
Starvation: Metabola’s power stems from eating, and the food he eats being converted through his heightened metabolism into kinetic and bodily energy. If he goes without eating for too long, he will be powerless.
Powers/Abilities:
Heightened Metabolism- The Mist’s effect on Carter manifests in the form of increased metabolism, meaning he can eat as much as he wants, and the energy he gets from eating gets converted through the metabolism into kinetic bodily energy, granting him numerous other abilities.
Heightened stamina- Due to being able to eat more, he has heightened metabolism when it comes to exhaustion in combat or short-term hunger.
Heightened strength- through heightened kinetic bodily energy, Metabola has superhuman strength, which allows him to perform feats of incredible strength.
Selective Metabolism- At any point in time, Metabola can turn off his selective metabolism, causing the food he eats to be converted to body fat, which when thick enough, acts as a layer of pseudo-armor. This also grants him a few other abilities.
Deflection- When he has a thick enough layer of fat, Metabola can deflect enemy attacks, and absorb certain ones in the form of potential energy.
Redirection- For certain ranged attacks, such as bullets, energy beams, and magic, he can absorb them without being harmed, and redirect him back to their source or attacker.
