Maskerradé is a mystery, and a master of disguise. It is unknown what gender Maskerradé is, or if even a human being. Maskerradé can assume the form of any living organism he chooses, making him difficult to track and locate. He is implied to be male, due to whenever he is heard to have spoken, his voice is predominantly male. He even makes the tracker Augmented, Romulus and Karudo, have difficulty in sniffing up a trail. It is unknown what his motivations are, for even though the public has witnessed his powers on multiple occasions, he has used his powers for neither the forces of good or evil, leaving some to speculate he is a rather neutral character, someone who would rather be left alone to decide their own destiny. The CROSS & SWORD as well as FISTNICT have repeatedly tried to recruit him to the organizations, with him declining either joining. While he may not currently be taking a side, he has been witnesses performing minor acts of good, such as helping elderly women cross the streets, stopping minor thefts, and rescuing pets from trees, implying that he main join the CROSS & SWORD yet. When not in a specific form, he like to take the form of a solid shadow, in order to further mask his identity.
Powers/Abilities:
Shapeshifting: Maskerradé has the ability to shapeshift into whatever living organism he desires.
Power assimilation: If he transforms into another superhuman, he assimilates their powers.
Doppelgänger: Maskerradé can assimilate every aspect of a person, including appearance, DNA, voice, and similar characteristics. This makes him excellent for infiltrating highly secured facilities in order to collect information and spy on both good and evil organizations alike.
Weakness(es):
“Kryptonite” assimilation: While he can assimilate another superhuman’s powers, he unfortunately has to have their weaknesses integrated into his assimilation.
Malevolent Energy Integration: If he assumes the form of someone who is infected or teeming with Malevolent Energy, he will commit acts of evil unless purified.
